The valuable natural substances contained in herbs and botanicals, when added to the bath, cleanse and stimulate the skin. Herbal baths may be beneficial in a number of ways: rosemary to strengthen, lavender to refresh, thyme is said to be good for the nerves, oregano to purify, and lemon balm to calm. Bathing in mineral-rich clays, seaweeds and salts it is said draws out impurities, cleanses, soothes and nourishes the skin.
